From Padre…

My sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus,

On January 9, 2018, I will have completed my first year at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. And see, you survivied! Even after Hurricane Irma, the buildings haven’t crumbled. All the changes we have taken on, we did so as one in Christ, although we are many and diverse, by following God the Holy Spirit’s direction. Can we ask for more from our gracious God?

Yes, we can ask for an increase in our commitment and conviction in being open to God the Holy Spirit in becoming more like unto Christ Jesus; an increase in sharing our talent, time, and treasure in order to continue Christ Jesus’ ministry, and mission to preach and make evident God the Father’s Kingdom; and our zeal to see that St. Elizabeth Seton Parish grows in becoming salt that heals and light that leads all to Jesus as our Redeemer and Savior. Not a bad new year’s resolution list, right?

On behalf of Frs. John, Luis, and myself, the entire parish and school staff, and all council and ministry members, we are grateful and thankful for your prayers, patience, support, and gifts at Christmas and throughout the 2017 year.

I personally want to express my sincere gratefullness for the blessing of being your administrator and spiritual father. Please know that I am determined to renew my commitment and conviction to grow in faith, hope, and love for and with you.

May we continue to be open to almighty God’s blessings and grace upon us; may our troubles be few; our challenges not overcome us; and our joy increase throughout 2018. You and your love ones continue to remain in my prayers.

Peace, grace, and thanks,
Fr. Russell Ruggiero
